My realm isnt working

i just bought realms for two players on my xbxo one s and everytime i go into my world it says loading resources for ages and when i click off it, it goes to a dirt background and says unable to connect to the world. I feel like i have wasted my money and dont feel like what i bought was up to the standards it should be.
