As per a previous ticket- from which I was asked to resubmit- I've set up a Realm recently based on a world me and friends have been playing on.
We've encountered an issue. One of the friends, while he can spawn into the world, seemingly has no ability to interact with anything. Can't open chests, can only interact with doors and when he broke his bed he couldn't replace it.
When I set the Realm up I ensured that everyone had the basic permission level of "Member", i.e. was fully capable of interacting with their environment and being able to play as they would normally.
The friend in question did have issues before joining the Realm, and needed to alter their Privacy settings so that might somehow have been involved, however nothing we tried including having them rejoin seemed to work.
I've canvassed existing reports and it seems that this has occurred elsewhere, though I could find no suggested fixes. The friend in question will be trying to rejoin the Realm at some stage in order to see if the issue persists but in the meantime I'm opening this ticket with regards to the first instance of the issue.

Update- I've replaced the Realm while keeping its seed, and I'm going to have my friends try it when they can to see if it is still causing issues.

UPDATE-
Totally new seed, reset realm, the friend in question STILL cannot interact with anything.
Could privacy setting affect this?

UPDATE- Changed seed, reset realm, cleared and re-added members with Operator permissions. Seems to be working now.

Update- A different friend to the one originally suffering this issue now has it. In their words: "What is the point of having a Realm when you can't interact with anything?"
Everyone has full Operator permissions and privacy settings shouldn't be causing an issue so what IS causing it?

To add to the previous update: it turns out said friend's character appears invisible to them in third person.

I've had another update from the friend in question.
Having left and rejoined the realm, they were "killed by an invisible force". Rate of damage approx 3.5 hearts/sec.
Is it possible that the game is misinterpreting where they are and thinking they're outside the map boundaries?

Update- Friend in question has created a Realm of his own using the Free Trial, and has encountered the same problem even when he hosts the Realm.
As per REALMS-3459, we're abandoning Realms until any form of fix or support is provided as there is no apparent solution to this at our end.
