Unable to subscribe to Minecraft Realms Plus

Using an iPad 2 to try to subscribe to Minecraft Realms Plus.

Message box states:

'Something Went Wrong'

Sorry, we were unable to complete your realm purchase. Maybe check your internet connection?

'Back to store'

 

Our internet connection is not the problem.

Could you please advise how we can fix this in order to subscribe to Realms Plus?

Are you still having this issue? If so, please try logging out of your account and then log back in to see if that fixes it. You also might try logging into the same Xbox Live account via the web to see if there are any settings that might prevent purchases.

I've tried the log out and log back in option and it still won't allow me to subscribe to Minecraft Realms Plus.

Also I logged into the Xbox Live account via the web as suggested and am unable to locate any required settings in relation to purchases.

I have a payment method registered in this account, but still unable to subscribe to Minecraft Realms Plus using my Microsoft account.

We were able to subscribe to Realms by using a newer version iPad with an iOS of 10.0 plus.

It seems that the iPad2 may just be too old for the Realms subscription with an iOS of less than 10.0.

I have three identical iPads. Two are able to subscribe to Realms, the third is not.

Found a fix. We used one of the working iPads to invite the iPad that was unable to join the Realm. That worked.
