Additional, as my report was marked as a duplicate and link to this one, same error is encountered on 19 June and I have not been able to connect to Realms since.

I have the same issue and my report has been closed as duplicate although am working on a Mac and have a slightly different error message

 Io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException: connection timed out

I have been unable to access since 19 June. Was able to log in 18th June. (Asia timezone)

this issue is from 9th June and still unassigned.

Is it actually being dealt with?

new update, my kids are all waiting to play in the new nether with their friends and STILL unable to access.

Hangs for ages and then same message

 Io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException: connection timed out

very upsetting because the kids have been waiting for months to play the new update.

Is this still an issue for you?

HI i just got this error today. im on MAC and i was playing earlier today and now i cant log onto my realm. im getting the error code io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Conection refused:

Have had this issue since updating to 1.18.30 - April 24, 2022 - Not able to go into my Realm on Pocket Edition. It attempts to load, then I just get a 'Disconnected from server" notice and that's it. When I try to load in a copy of my realm world, the entire game crashes. Not sure how this help area works, so I just posted somewhere that seems like it would match my issue. Thank you for any help!

Just reloaded a previous save and set it as my realm world and it worked fine. Not sure what the issue was.
