I recently purchased a realms subscription and my friends and I are struggling to make any progress due to the server rolling back to a certain point after everyone logs out. I don't know how this could happen. From what I could find, this is a bug that has happened before. Maybe it has something to do with people buying realms for the new update? Maybe the servers are getting overloaded? Anyway, I hope to hear back soon. I assume many other people may be having this problem as well.

Also having the same issue. Lots of progress is being erased each day. It makes realms effectively unusable.
I've reached a point where I AFK for 5 hours after playing to make sure an autosave occurs after I actually do anything I hope to keep.
This is also an issue with my family's Realm. Progress is not being saved - it appears that the issue is with an infrequent or non existent autosave and/or non existent save on exit. It started with the 1.16 update.
This is related to or a duplicate of Realms-401 and appears to be a relatively common problem. Family isn't playing Realms because it makes no sense to do stuff that isn't or won't get saved. If someone can tell me how to do a forced save on Realms that would be very much appreciated.
This is also happening to my java server. At first it only seemed to effect other players when they were on the server alone and would be a loss of 30 mins or less. This week was the first time it effected me personally as the realms owner. I lost aprox 1 hour of progress. During this time another player was logged on with me the entire time. I logged in and out of the server 2 times to go AFK. Both times the other player remained on while I was away. The entire play session was about 3 hrs in length. When we exited realms for the night, we both got off at roughly the same time. The timing on this would be just before the hour mark. This leads to me to ask if the backups occur on the hour and we just missed the next backup save point. I am now paying for a server that does NOT work and has more or less driven everyone away from it.
This appears to be a duplicate of REALMS-4224, which hasn't yet been resolved. If you have any additional information to provide regarding this issue, feel free to comment on the parent ticket. If you feel that this issue is affecting you, feel free to vote for the duplicated ticket, to give Mojang a basic idea of how many people are impacted by the problem. Just to further inform you, this will not determine how quickly the bug gets handled or fixed.
This is happening to bedrock realms also. I run a modded survival realm with a few add-ons. But one of the add-ons had the same manifest number as some random one and kept adding a ghost addon pack to the realm. I removed both and now my realm keeps crashing then rolling back every 20 minutes. It's very frustrating.
I am literally having the same issue, we lose so much progress and have to essentially cheat to get anywhere!
