Realms is not saving progress

I have been playing on my realms server with some friends and ever since the 1.16.1 update realms just stop making backups of our server and stop saving progress. it will work for the first few hours once you first load into the world but if you play for long periods of time the game just stops saving. I will play for a long extended time and then leave the realm server while no one is on and come back and find that all the work I did was gone and I would be on a previous backed up version of the game from many hours beforehand. I go to the world backups folder on the realm and it will say last back up like 3 hours ago while I have been playing for the past 3 hours. is there a way I can make the server backup more frequently or a command I can manually enter to create a backup or save.
