Since the last few hotfixes there have been no Pillagers.
BTW, I did a search before creating this and did not see this issue.

Does this only happen on a Realm? Are you pretty much staying in the same place in your world or walking around? Also the patrols may have spawned in a direction you were not looking and then despawned as you moved.
