Will not connect to realms

For the last 5 days, since Thursday October 15th 2020, it has not been letting me connect to a realm i pay for to play with 10 people. Everyone else on my realm can play but me, and I am the only person on my realm who plays on the switch. I have restarted my switch multiple times, reopened the app, even uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have reconnected the internet multiple times as well and it just hasnt worked for me. i know it isnt a microsoft issue because it logs me into my account it literally is only my realm for me.

Did you change anything related to your Xbox Live account (email, gamer tag, etc) prior to when it quit working?

I too have been facing connection issues since 1.16 released. I have not been able to connect to realms from my Android device or either of my two switches.

I stumbled onto a fix that has addressed the issue on both my phone and my switches.

Minecraft on my phone was experiencing the same "We cannot connect to realms right now. We will try again later" issue, but when I switched from my WiFi to LTE, realms started working again. Then when I was back on my WiFi and I loaded Minecraft on my phone again and it continued working. I decided to try applying the same concept to my switch. I confirmed it still wasn't working, then made a WiFi hotspot from my phone and connected to that with my switch. When I loaded up Minecraft on my switch again it finally connected to realms. I then switched back to my WiFi and it also continued working.

I don't understand why the update prevented me from connecting to realms, or how temporarily switching WiFi networks fixed it, but I figured I would pass it along to you in hopes that it will help you to help others that are facing the same problem caused by the recent updates.
