Since 1.16.200 there’s been a glitch that makes the game almost unusable on realm (not sure if it’s happening on regular worlds).
Often, when I interact with something (open my inventory, a door, a chest, or use a crafting table, etc.) a loading bar appears and never goes away.
When this happens I have to close out the game on my switch by clicking the home button and force quitting Minecraft. But when I close out the game it says “the software was closed because an error occurred” instead of just closing. Then I have to restart the entire switch in order for Minecraft to even open. Once I restart it takes several tries to get Minecraft to open without crashing.
It is not an internet connectivity problem because it happens when I have a great internet connection and when I am connected to different internet connections (ie. At my parent’s house or my grandmother's house).
It is getting really frustrating and makes the game almost unusable.

Its definitely not internet because I don't have problems with anything else. We may need to put some posts up on Reddit and other social media to get people to vote because it's not a user error or internet issue.

Agreed that it dies not seem to be a wifi-only issue - other platforms don't present the same issue while using the same wifi connection. Seems to be platform-specific.

I play Minecraft on my switch with my wife and brother in-law. All 3 of us experience this same exact issue.

Having the exact same issue on the realm I play with my kids. It's getting to the point where they want to quit the game. A few observations from my experience:
It's much worse on the Nintendo Switch than on the PS4. We have two Switches and my PS4 so we can all play on the Realm together. This bug happens all the time on both Switches but hardly ever on PS4.
It's much worse in a busy chunk (they spent a week building a pretty awesome mob farm and now they can barely use it because this bug comes up anytime we go there).
Please let this get some traction. My kids love this game like crazy, but this bug is single handedly going to drive them away.

I am having this issue. On my switch, playing in a realm. When I access my inventory a loading bar overlay appears and won't go away. I can still move around, crouch, hop, etc. But I can't do anything else. I can close the game from the main menu. Im not having this issue on my phone or Xbox.
