I have 6TFLops of power now and wanted to max out render distance on my realm so that I could view some pixel art in the distance from a new building I am working on.
But I find that changing the render distance to maximum has no effect on a realm, but works fine on an offline world.

Thank you for your report!
However, this issue has been closed as Working as Intended.
For performance reasons the render distance is limited on Realms, and is likely to be lower than your own device can handle as a maximum.
