[REALMS-7005] Killed my friend because I dropped an item into their inventory however the item did not drop on their death

I had dropped a netherite sword into my friends inventory and because they were afk i killed them to take it back. there was no explosions, cacti, mobs or anything in the area but the sword just didn't drop
