I own a realm with a few friends on Minecraft bedrock edition. Today I tried to replace the world and it would not let me load in. I then tried loading a back up which failed to load too. Even closing wouldn't work. Tried doing the same on my phone which also failed.
I'm unsure what to do.

We're tracking the issue with uploading in REALMS-474, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate of that ticket. I am assuming you did not get any more specific message than "An error occurred". In general it is always best to include exact text of all messages for bug reports.
The additional issues are likely a consequence of having to wait for the server to return the world to a usable state before another action can be taken. The inability to close or reset a realm is also being tracked already (REALMS-7736, REALMS-7719).
It is also recommended to always "Close" the realm first before doing any other management operation (upload, restore, etc) to make sure there are no active connections.
