Realms has connection problems. I lost an hour of work today. I was in Realms, built some things then Realms started getting glitchy. I exited the game then tried to go back in. The connection message just kept spinning then said it failed to connect. I waited a while then tried again. When I finally got it, the world was set the way it was before all of my recent building.
I wish I had a fake account so I could tell you what I really think.
Oh, yes... I did a search for this and only found reports from 2019.
