Realm freezing for players then unable to connect followed by loss of progress

When playing in the realm, players experience a freeze in gameplay either via:

1. A full freeze where the player is unable to move. 

2. The player cannot interact with any block i.e. opening a chest etc

When this happens, after the player exits the realm, they cannot enter the realm again for a long period of time. The realm shows that the player count is still as if the player(s) never left. When trying to enter back into the realm the player is met either:

1. A never ending 'loading resource packs' message.  

2. A message stating that the player is already logged in to the realm on another device

3. A message stating that they are 'Unable to connect to world'

After this long period, when the player(s) can re-enter the realm, all progress is lost from the session from up to or over 30 minutes.
