REALMS-9736

Lightning catches building on fire, even with lightning rod.

Lightning struck my library and burned the roof off of it. It had two lightning rods on it, and should not have been able to burn down.

Unsure if the building was partially loaded due to other members of the realms working a few chunks over.   Ive seen other bug reports with this issue. But they all say resolved. And this one is not resolved. Thanks. 🙂  See Attached picture for lightning rod positioning and damage.

Is there a chunk border that crosses the building but does not include the lightning rods?
Does the issue only happen on a realm or does it also occur on a local copy of the world?

Yes, there is a chunk border that crosses and does not include the lightning rods.

I have not tried to reproduce it on a regular copy of local. As most of my playing is on realms.

I will see if I can reproduce it on local.

Edit: I have not been able to reproduce it inside of a local copy. Testing methods:

Set simulation distance to 4 chunks to match realm.

Built wooden building with two lightning rods on top matching my realms set up.

Used a clock with a piston moving up and down so i could see when the chunks were unloaded.

Marked out 4 chunk borders away from the building. ensuring half was in the active chunk and

half was outside the active chunk and unloaded.

Commanded a thunderstorm and added a dropper full of channeling tridents to shoot the lightning rods. with a long redstone line to power it from the chunk that would unload half the building. Was unable to duplicate any fire.

I do believe i had a AFK platform of glass above my building because i was trying to find out where mobs were spawning inside of it. Im pretty sure the glass covered up atleast one of the two lightning rods. So im wondering if both happened to be covered and lightning just so happened to strike the structure.

Thank you for your report!
