Short description of the issue
On the Minecraft account profile page, the "Share" feature generates a link (and a QR code) in the format https://launch.minecraft.net/profile/[Player ID]. However, visiting this link incorrectly redirects the user to a malformed URL where the target Xbox URL is directly appended to the launch domain without proper formatting, resulting in a browser connection error.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Log in and navigate to the Minecraft profile page (
https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/msaprofile).Click the "Share" button located under the profile picture on the left panel.
In the popup window, scan the QR code OR click the green "Share" button to copy the generated link (e.g.
https://launch.minecraft.net/profile/[Player ID]).Paste and visit the copied link in any web browser.
Expected result
The link should successfully redirect the user to the correct Xbox profile page: https://www.xbox.com/play/user/[Player ID]
Actual result
The link incorrectly redirects to a malformed URL: https://launch.minecraft.nethttps//www.xbox.com/play/user/[Player ID]. This causes the browser to fail to load the page, returning an error.
