I was still able to replicate this issue on 0.6.1 as well as prior versions. I believe this issue has not been fixed, and it does not play the same as pc version on my devices.
This is still a concern on version 0.6.1. Updated first post to current version.
I’m experiencing the same issue on Minecraft Bedrock (mobile, Android, 1.21.93 and 1.21.94).
I initially assigned professions to my villagers, but after some time they started unlinking from their job sites (even though I didn’t break or move any blocks) and randomly linking to different workstations that weren’t part of their original setup.
A similar issue happens with beds: villagers link to one bed, and later suddenly link to another, without the original bed being destroyed or obstructed.
Additionally, even when I place workstations directly in front of them, they ignore them completely, despite being the only workstations within at least 150 blocks.
[media]I’ve added a recording of my world showing the issue. In the video, you can clearly see how villagers do not react at all to job site blocks placed right in front of them.
Additionally, some villagers who were originally assigned as farmers suddenly switched professions and became librarians, and vice versa. When I first set them up, the farmers were on the left and the librarians on the right, but now their roles have become mixed up without me modifying anything.
Also, something strange happens when I place a bed nearby. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it, but it definitely looks like bugged behavior or some kind of sync issue with bed linking.
I’ve also seen several Reddit posts from other players reporting the same issue, so this seems to be affecting many people across different platforms (https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/1dm0ss0/121_villager_bug/?tl=es-419).
This is heavily affecting my experience, I had to stop playing my current world because I can't progress or play the way I enjoy. I really hope this bug gets fixed soon, as villagers are a fundamental part of the game. Please consider fixing this soon, villagers are a key part of gameplay, and right now it’s very frustrating to continue in survival worlds that rely on them.
