I am having this issue too, but Minecraft doesn't work on any accounts on my macbook, but for me, repairing permissions doesn't help. I get the launcher white screen crash if my wifi is off. If it's on, the launcher loads quickly without problems.
I should add that I'm using Launcher 1.3.7
