I also have problems converting one of my XBOX One world to MINECRAFT. This world is my most built-up Survival world... tons of detailed buildings, with intricate caves ranging from the bedrock to about 200 blocks above the surface. Only this heavily built-up portion of my world fails to convert. If I walk 100 blocks or so away from where my buildings should be, the world converted fine. The chunk of blocks that used to be my buildings turns into an untouched landscape. It's as if the algorithm tried to convert that chunk, failed and then resorted to a random untouched landscape.

In case it matters, my world originally created a few years ago in a much older version of Minecraft XBOX One... before the update that added granite and dark oak. Since I wanted those things in my world, I changed my world from a "medium" to a "large" map - which added the new landscapes. So my world already had some strange map behavior, but it converted fine along those map lines - it is only the area that is heavily built up that won't convert.

Another thing, in case it matters, is that I have a lot of animals - sheep, pigs, horses etc.. in this part of my world as I use lots of wool, sell lots of pork etc... Perhaps there is a problem converting chunks with all those animals.
