This happens so often on my Realm, we now are limited to not allowed any mobs (even horses and Villagers) to go near chunk borders. It happens most often when a player logs in on a Nintendo Switch. We have lost Villagers, Horses, Skeleton Horses, Donkeys, and other nametagged animals (such as chickens and cows) to this bug. It really limits gameplay when you constantly have to build around chunk borders and pray your animals and such won't disappear. I really think this should be a priority, as no one likes it when their prized Mending villager disappears (yes that did happen to me lol).
