Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch Minecraft for windows
Log in
Wait for game to try and load your skins (before logging in the game keeps you on a default skin.
Observed Results:
The Game crashes
Expected results:
Game and (custom) skin loads in as intended.
Here is a video of my game crashing. The moment the background freezes is the moment it crashed.
I suspect I recently encountered the same bug, though from what I was able to find it is related to custom skins (at least it was in my case) as “persona” apparently refers to custom skins. The only way to go around for me was to somehow get rid of any custom skins I had in my locker. I was only able to do it because I kept switching accounts (logging out on one and logging in with the other) between my main account and a second account I had (that was not using any custom skins) until I randomly triggered an error in which the game gave me a pop-up stating that it failed to load some of the skins from my locker.
