you can't join/play multiplayer in betas afaik

the bell isnt necessary, the villagers must be linked to the beds and the profession blocks too (profession blocks are necessary)

It is common if you are using a low-end device and using high render distance. Try lowering the render distance and/or toggling fancy graphics and remove shaders if any.
