I've seen, on other forums, at least one person besides me and Finny here that has had this happen. Update: It still happens to me now, and it's also not only with wooden blocks. It just happened with some coal ore.

Also, if any of you were wondering, no, it's not only birch logs this happens with. other blocks have this same issue. I don't know what all of them are, but I know that some other wood logs have it.
