I can confirm this issue also occurs with redstone lamps that are triggered remotely (either by a long redstone wire, or using the Craftbook-provided transmitters and receivers). The opposite is true as well: a lamp that is switched off remotely keeps emitting light even while its texture indicates that it shouldn't be doing that.
After hitting the lamps a few times with a bare hand, the block seemed to update and started to emit or no longer emit light. However, this does not always work.
Server version: 1.8.1 Client version: 1.8.0 with some mods (Forge Modloader, Liteloader, Optifine). It also happens with an unmodded 1.8.1 client.
