Still see this in 1.14.2 every once and a while, but it's pretty rare.
I'm getting the "Fetching addpacket for removed entity."
I have not had anyone on our server complain about villagers going missing (yet) but I have heard players tell me doors have gone missing and I personally have placed the same door 3 times now...it's disappeared twice. I'm posting here because the other thread is specific to villagers, but my server is still encountering other things disappearing. I really think this needs to be reopened unless some further work has been done on it for the 1.14.3 update already.
Edit: Just found another door poofed in the nether.
I'm personally fine with them pushing out updates as groups of big bugs are fixed. My guess is there aren't enough votes for this to even be on the radar yet. Get your friends and fellow server-owners to come vote on this one since it's kind of a big deal....and don't complain that X bug isn't fixed in the latest version. Minecraft is, and always has been, an under development game. It'll get fixed....just be patient.
So dealing with this on our server, I propose that the reason they seem to randomly aggro on players who never attacked them is because the aggro from one player is passing to any other player that enters the area. I cannot test this at this time, since I'm the only one online right now, but I thought I would share it with the community in case someone else has the time/desire to test it.
Death does not reset aggression, and neither does leaving the nether, staying away for any length of time or anything else that we have tried. The only solution I have found to this problem is
/kill @e[type=minecraft:zombie_pigman]
in areas affected by pigmen who have become aggressive.
@QueenDarkLady this has been resolved in the 1.14.3 release. Pigmen no longer work the way they did before 1.14, but at least they don't stay permanently angry/passing anger to every other pigman in range eternally.
