This issue isn't resolved. It's still occuring on mine and friends worlds. We are anuable to play at the moment without the game crashing when we chop trees and hit the leaf blocks. We are on bedrock Vers. 1.17.10.20 beta with caves and cliffs enabled. Happens no matter which texture pack, skin etc is used too as we thought it could be a texture issue.
