MCPE-120244 Named Animal Mobs Despawning Duplicate

Comments

I have noticed another issue in my experience with this that is starting to zone in on the issue:

My friend hosts the world where we have used name tags on many mobs in order to keep them around. However, many of our animals have despawned. I tried building an aquarium and a zoo, and some animals are specifically tameable (wolves, ocelots, parrots, etc) while others aren’t (sea turtles, polar bears, mooshrooms, etc). Our named tameable animals and enemies do not despawn - but our untamed animals do, despite having been given names. I wonder if it’s an issue with Name Tags not properly interacting with untameable animals. We lost fish, a sea turtle, a polar bear, and more over the course of a few days, while we’ve had a named Slime in the world for about a year now. It doesn’t make sense and it’s extremely frustrating, especially when your biomes for obtaining those creatures are over 7000 blocks away. Our base is at X.100, Z. -300 approximately. Our jungle is X.900, Z.-10,000. We worked very hard for our efforts to disappear when we weren’t looking. It really, really sucks. This needs to be fixed - the fact that fish can be put in buckets and bears, foxes, mooshrooms, and such can be attached to leads is just the designers begging the players to keep animals in their worlds, but it doesn’t work. It needs to be patched.
