I've had issues with villagers and other mobs disappearing in my world.
I'm on MCPE 1.17.34.02 and had a total of 30 villagers in my iron farm/trading hall which is chunk aligned. All was working well until I died making some changes to it, I respawned and went straight back to the farm to find every villager gone as well as the 2 sheep I was using to get wool for beds. I also had a pillager in a boat not far from the farm and that had despawned as well as the boat it was in although the bees I have in between the villagers and pillager are still there.
I then went to a village (appprox 2000 blocks away) to get 2 more villagers to put in my villager breeder underneath the iron farm and half way back they both despawned when in a leashed boat behind me.
This is all on a single player world, i set my spawn point at the village before collecting the villagers and nothing abnormal happened before any of this occured.
