I found another chest where items were deleted. Items before:

Won't fix? My items were deleted, this is something that should be fixed. Shall I open the item deletion as a separate bug?

I also have this issue. I used the "optimize world" tool. This is my chest configuration.

The top chest on the right stack of 3 is missing ALL items. Here is the configuration before it became an empty chest in 1.13:

The other chests have had the top 3 and bottom 3 rows swapped.
