I can confirm same with z5 compact. Airplane mode teated and atoll no game 😥
Same problem, shows white startup screen with minecraft logo for a while, then exits back to home screen.

Android 7.1.1... My phone z5. Not working.
I can also confirm that it is working fine on my sons z3 on Android 5.1, which has the new minecraft update . Weird...
