This is my friend's world so I can't really get a copy I can try and create a new world and recreate the bug on that one by setting up the same conditions. Then I can send that world.

I have found the problem (I think) the chest was on a chunk border and I solved the problem by moving it over by one block and now I don't have the problem anymore.
