I found out this bug is a duplicate of others issues citing "Unable to add servers" or alike. I could not find these issues when I searched with the terms I worded it here. My apologies for this.
This might not be a bug. It's a partial block and a machine. It doesn't have the ability to relay redstone signals through the block, and it doesn't by itself interact with redstone.
