Don’t know exactly when it happened. All i can remember is it happened sometime close to the time i got on. When i discovered it was when i was going to trade with villagers and all the stalls with villagers were empty then i looked for my cats and so on. Previously the bug would take villagers from chunks. This happened before 1.17.30, the mass despawning happened after.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one, I had like 10 or so villagers that despawned. I was mostly mad about a cat I have at my afk platform, I named him boots, and he was my most favorite cat of all time in Minecraft.
