can't change the GPU because it's a notebook with old i7 and hd3000 (integrated). I have a pc which have updated to 1.16.100. Have tried to move UWP app files from pc to notebook but no chance because we need to move also some files from C://Program files/WindowsApps and they are not allowed to move or copy. Im very dissapointed, i have two children who played with each other on lan and now i have a headache - only one can play or use smartphone version and harm their eyes. No chance to downgrade. What have changed in minecraft that it cant support old GPUs. Frustrated.
Confirm the same problem. Is it because of intel hd 3000 videcard? can we use old verson 1.16.40 anyway?
It seems to me i have found a working solution.
I have old notebook with intel hd3000 and windows 10 latest version home edition.
I opened device manager, found my videocard, clicked update driver, selected update manually, choose from drivers on my pc, then clicked to show all incompatibe drivers, selected drive from HD4000 and it installed.
Tried to download from Microsoft Store again - still error.
Rebooted - still error.
Changed my videocard driver back, using the same manual method.
Just after my screen went black and lighted again i pressed to download game again in Microsoft store and it worked.
Now it is downloading. And it even downloaded. But it gave antother error while installing: 0x80240017
Will try to change drivers again, maybe it will install.
UPD1: still no way. Have even added Feature Level to 11.0, 11.1, 12.1 using dxcpl.exe for Microsoft store and other apps. And HD4000 drivers won't help.
UPD2: after several reboots i have tried to reinstall microsoft store with all apps using powershell with admin rights. To restore or reinstall Windows Store in Windows 10, start PowerShell as Administrator. Click Start, type Powershell. In the search results, right-click “PowerShell” and click Run as administrator. Then use this command: Get-AppXPackage -allusers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Then wait. And when it finishes open Microsoft store and try to download Minecraft once more time. Finally it downloaded and started and is working on HD3000 (with HD4000 drivers - maybe they are not important at all) with added Feature Level 11.1 using dxcpl.exe and Minecraft version 1.16.100.
Maybe if will work just after reinstalling Microsoft store with powershell but also it may have worked because i reinstalled Microsoft store after all procedures.
UPD3: Changed everything back and it works now. Just received a notification in Minecraft that this videocard soon won't be supported.
