I reported this problem on Twitter and was asked to submit a suggestion. But the issue has been brought to Mojang's attention already at least twice. Can this please be fixed? There seems to be a difference between Ubuntu and Debian here, another Ubuntu user who reported the same issue saying that it was solved. But looking at the Debian package, libpango1.0-0 seems to have been a transitional package which has been removed for good. It would be good if the issue could be addressed from within Mojang.

All that seems to be required is to replace "libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0)" by "libpango-1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0)" in the control file.

This problem may have been addressed in Ubuntu, but it's still an issue in Debian, at least in unstable, but I believe also in testing. It would be great if it could be addresses in the launcher, no? No expert here, but it seems to me that "libpango1.0-0" was a transitional package and has been removed from the repositories for good. At least this seems to be the view in Debian, I don't know how it was addressed in Ubuntu.
