I have the same issue on windows 10. I press sign in and select my account, then the game freezes and crashes.

I think this happens because you set the game to run as administrator and since the launcher doesn't have administrative access you have to open the launcher as an administrator to fix this issue. At least that's what fixed it for me and that's what I did right before having this issue.
