I've come to the conclusion that it's something at fault between 1.10.2, Windows 10, and Minecraft 1.8 skins. Now that I've gotten this far, can I please get some help?
Continuing to attempt to load both versions.
Wireless connection does not fix the launcher freezing.
Wireless connection does fix the OUTDATED launcher loading.
Outdated launcher still does not let me view skins, and I had to pull the %appdata file from my old computer to even get this far.
Update:
Using an outdated launcher lets me log in to both 1.12.2 as well as 1.10.2.
I switched to wireless and once again tried.
Updated launcher STILL freezes and refuses to load.
Tried 4 different times, on 2 different settings, and twice were run as admin.
To be noted, I also switched from my Ethernet cable to a wireless connection in case it was just my cable. However, the problem has only gotten worse once I attempted to use an updated launcher. Will be trying to use the outdated one momentarily.
The freezing/getting stuck on the 'loading terrain' still happens on 1.12.2. And I also checked, my MC skin doesn't show on any of my 3 accounts, even if it's in single player.
Actually - if it could be fixed so that I could run through the newest launcher that would work as well. But I'm far from getting my hopes up after the past few days of trying to make it run at all.
As well - the new launcher STILL does not load for me.
It crashes, and just sits in 'Not Responding' mode and won't actually give me a crash report.
And after giving the files, no one has told me how to fix THAT version either.
