well not really a bug but i think they were meant to get mad when you steal their stuff, if this doesn't get fixed piglins would get mad because of uncomplete implementation of the feature.
There should be no reason of why they would get mad at you for using your chests,but it makes sense that they do get mad when you steal from them.
Hi again, i have read your comment on the original report and it actually does make sense since they are not that intelligent to know whos chest it is. I guess i should just protect my base with fences.
