It was created sometime in 1.8 and I upgraded from 1.8.8 > 15w35d > 15w35e. Possibly picked up the world corruption issue that was going around during those snapshots. Will most likely pull a backup.

I can confirm this happens, haven't tested to see what circumstances causes it to happen. This needs to be taken as a high priority, not fun having to split stacks just to save on food, especially golden apples.

And before you even say it, its not my PC.

Updated with 1.6.2 still having the issue no matter what settings I have. Using default or lowered, even added and reduced the memory for Minecraft.
