No I am not holding a map in my offhand
Update on bug:
Firstly I updated my world while I was in the overworld at time of update
The same issue occurs
i tried loading in a copy of it and the same issue is still there
it seems that my original world and all copies of it have the same issue
no other world of mine has that issue btw
only this world which is 572.1MB in Minecraft but 600MB in PS4 system storage
and another bug I witnessed it when I went through that other portal, the chunks got reset in the overworld and some chunks got conpletely deleted and replaced witht the new terrain which is not meant to happen to already loaded chunks
AND IT AFFECTS VERSIONS 1.18 and 1.18.1 on PS4
I am also getting this insane bug
I updated game while I was in the nether
I log in to world and as soon as I go through any nether portal my game says BULDING TERRAIN for a few seconds and then it crashes with bug CE-38700-8
After crashing 3 times I manage to get through but I spawn in a random location away from my nether portal
AND I had another bug when I went through a nether portal it crashed 3 times and the 4th try completely reset my overworld chunks
Yes the bug is fixed
I updated a COPY of my world in 1.18.2 and it seems to be fixed. I can go through both nether portals and I experienced 0 game crashes.
HOWEVER the original world which was updated in 1.18 seems to be corrupted beyond repair
thank u Mojang so much for the quick fix and thank the Minecraft gods for adding a backup option
