The bug is a cloud problem on the main games end. Works fine on preview. I’m even able to access worlds that I haven’t been able to access for years on the main game, so preview is doing something right, where the main game is getting it wrong.
Perhaps the devs should look into the differences in the code between the main game and preview, when it comes to world saving, world file accessing, syncing, etc…

File size also plays a role. The larger the world, the less likely it’s going to sync.

I also feel unsafe to start any new worlds because of this reason, but also because Xbox keeps on saying that it’s out of storage for the game, which it most certainly is not, since Minecraft should save to the cloud, and is not internal.

Still a bug via the newest update. Can a mod please update it!

I might also state that https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-162920 is similar to this post, with the two sharing a common problem.

Some smaller world files seem to load just fine, but any over 100mb will just give up instantly/after waiting 5 mins for the Xbox to sync data for Minecraft, to which then it will give you the “failed to sync world data” pop up.

I have no problem with loading these worlds on Preview. The worlds still exist in the cloud, so why can’t I access them?

All my worlds are greyed out, and I get the message “failed to sync world data”, whenever I try to click on one. Sometimes it will sync, but will give up around 97-98%, and repeat the message in quotations above.

It turns out that the worlds are still available via preview, so they most certainty still do exist in the cloud somewhere. The problems seems to be a bug on the main game itself. A fix would help a great ton, but I doubt mojang will bother helping console players, as they haven’t cared about us since they forced us to play bedrock.

I refuse to play the game until this problem is fixed, which really sucks, as Minecraft has been a huge part of my life for 12 years at this point.

My world recently disappeared off my list of worlds. This problem is in the latest hot fix update and the beta version of the nether update.

Please fix this soon, I understand if you can’t because of what’s going on in the world right now, but please fix this glitch when you can.

Thank you.
