I've been having the same exact issue since the latest update

Same exact thing is happening to me after the update 1.12 in bedrock a couple of days ago. If I replace the realm with the most recent backup it sets the realm back to its original unedited state at 0.00mb. If I try to download the world manually the same thing happens that you stated above, The only backup that works is from before the update. All of the automatic downloads are saving at 0.00mb. No one wants to play in my realm right now because they are afraid all of their progress won't be saved
