Another update: this happens to all tamed wolves, after shutting down the application
This happens as of latest beta test available. I don't know about previous versions
Also, device is Asus MeMO pad 8
I couldn't work out which version of MCPE it was, version marked in Minecraft says "0.12.1 alpha build 3"
Oh I searched for it but I never saw a duplicate... sorry!
When I click the "fish" button in multiplayer, the bobber targets the nearest player, hooking them, and when I press "fish" again, it pulls the player towards me. This happens even when I am not facing them.

I thought I was the only one experiencing this problem since nothing was being done about it. Thank God I'm not. Just fix it already please!!
