I am having the same problem. During 24a I had two resource packs that worked fine, and a third one that didn't (probably because it is 256x256). Now no resource packs are selectable except for the default. When I click on a resource pack the game freezes temporarily, my cursor shows "loading", but at the end of it all it's still the default resource pack.
