Ok. I have tried multiple mice. Nothing similar happens on any other programs that I have seen. Any advice?

I have copied my world from Realms to my local computer. The items are not there. (One copy had the "reset nether" bug where all Nether activity was lost and reset). I have checked with my kids (only other ones with access to the world) and they have not taken / moved / hid anything.
