Yes, I have experienced the same issue on my friends server. We have tamed many rabbits and none of them are able to sit down and we have also had trouble with the rabbits following/teleporting to us. Since on the server I live underground there is a stairway and they don't go down all the way or they stop in my doorframe. I have been able to breed them many times and all I want are for them to sit because I don't really want them to follow me everywhere.
They should be able to have mechanics like cats and dogs where you could tame them, make them sit, and make them follow. They should also have a indicator on how much health they have.
