I still think something is wrong with the memory cycle as this has now spread to all world types and in turn may be causing high cpu usage.
Thanks, I thought water and lava were trying to occupy the same block but based off your screen shots it appears something else is triggering the exception. I also have found a crash report from 1.6.2 that had this exception but it has to do with gravel I think. ( forgot I had that report). I posted that along with a fresh report of the exception in 1.7.2 and one of the new snapshot. but another world I had where I hit the exception in 1.7.2 didn't have it in the snapshot (water glitched that ultimately stopped the bug from happening). that I must admit was one lucky Thanksgiving day miracle.
I looked at the crash report and its like mine but instead of lava, water and air, you have water, gravel and air. well keep an eye on my report since this was marked off as a duplicate. also what was the seed and cordnates?
Kumasasa can you try and get a screen shot of the problem area (its underground) not a savanna island Like I thought.
coordinates are around 2699,36,4362 as shown in one of my older posts showing a little bit of the issue. I'm trying to see what the
%d is causing it. And is it possible to edit the error out (remove the chunk that's crashing) in world edit?
I was unable to update java to 64 bit but I checked to see if the bug was still there.
as of 1.7.2 the issue is still a game killer
Same here. Some servers show up instantly but most take forever to ping. Some never leave pinging.
Maby its a 32 bit java bug than? I'll update my java on Monday to 64 bit and see if that fixes it.
Kumasasa, Do you have 32 or 64 bit java? I have 32 and it is still crashing in 13w41b
I looked at the newest crash report and found this II don't know what's wrong but something is bugged or at least it is for me.

Still crashing at that spot.
just tried latest snapshot
As I said Anon,
the seed is 1, Default Biomes, not amplified,
I was at 4656, 80, 4320 (I had expected a village but got a witch hut instead)
and I was trying to teleport to 2576, 80, 4336 (the location of another possible village)
When I teleported there, I crashed instantly before the chunks loaded. When I flew there I was able to see briefly what I thought was a floating island similar to what is in the screen shot but I crashed again before I got to the village. I tried this on the 13w37b snapshot and crashed again.
I'm clueless as to what's causing this. I do not use mods of any kind.
I am no longer having this bug/issue
now to get the stackoverflow error and memory/high cup usage thing settled...
