Made a new Creative world, and gave myself a Turtle Shell helmet, to see if changing world, or changing to a helmet that didn't ALSO have respiration on it, would make a difference.
Flickering persists. I would just deal with it, but this wasn't an issue prior to the 17.3 update.

Nevermind, chat still works fine. When I go to the 'pause' screen, there are new icons in the bottom left (camera / potion / person with speech bubble). I thought the 3rd of these was the new chat icon, and the previous mapping of said function, to the right arrow on the D-pad, had been nullified. That being said, I have no idea what the 'person with speech bubble' icon is.

I just logged into my Realm (Switch, Bedrock, 1.17.3x) and everything seemed to work fine. If that was a random pocket of good luck, and everything craps out again later tonight, I'll be back to see what happens with this ticket. For now, good job, and thanks!
Just tried to log on at 3:10p EST (Pennsylvania?) and got the 'Failed to Login' message pretty quickly. I just wanna give a big internet hug to everyone else who's having issues.
Minecraft kinda became my only hobby in March 2021, so I get that having your favorite thing taken away sucks. I've also tried to develop games, myself, and had people get really mad when the game didn't work, despite my best efforts, so I feel for the tech team, too.
