Can confirm still occurring in current beta/preview up to date May 7th 2022.

Was harvesting beehives to craft candles and spent a lot of time very confused by honeycomb not dropping.... it was all on top of the trees... 

I see that no response was given to this thread.... I would like to let the team know this is still happening on worlds to date May/2/2022 on the newest beta preview version. (World created beginning of April no experimental features turned on)

Previously the leaves did change reliably for us. Now experiencing what OP describes pic to show

Experience this as well. My partner and I have a world we just traveled to find an ocean monument in. Weve had the experimental features on all year so it's gone through each update. This most recent well the outcome is extreme as the surrounding chunks along the entire journeys path have done this. The oceans are especially frustrating. Hoping this is a quick and easy fix for Mojang and we can continue on our unopened just in case copy of the world. Otherwise sadly this has killed it and we will need a new one 😨
