Well, I'm just posting that I have the same issue with the resizing. Tried restarting, re-installing, re-everything. Causes a crash of computer everytime. Mac OSX 10.6.8, 3.06 GHz i3, ATI Radeon HD 4670.
So sad...wanted a horse. 😞
EDIT! Apparently they've changed something with the launcher as it looks different and MC now works fine. ( Yay! Horses! ) Although... Minecraft crashed while I tried resizing the window too slowly. The resize seems to need to be done quickly...
